Specifications

Specifications (propulsion)-
  • Must move through the water freely in 3 dimensions
  • Must provide sufficient control to accomplish mission tasks
  • Must move the vehicle at sufficient speed to accomplish the mission tasks in the allotted time
  • Must function in a predictable manner
  • Must be able to free the vehicle should it become ensnared in an environmental hazard
Specifications (power)-
  • Must provide sufficient power to operate all vehicle functions
  • Tether must not interfere with vehicle function
  • Tether must be long enough to reach all parts of the 10 meter by 10 meter by 2 meter mission area with excess
  • Must be capable of operating in an underwater environment
  • Must be able to interface with the provided power source
Specifications (controls)-
  • Must reliably control the vehicle
  • User interface must be operable by all team members
  • Must provide comprehensive data on the location and environment in which the vehicle is currently situated
